Diving back into Dota 2 as an unconventional form of self-therapy has yielded results that caught almost everyone off guard—including my psychologist doing our current evaluation.

Diving back into Dota 2 as an unconventional form of self-therapy has yielded results that caught almost everyone off guard—including my psychologist doing our current evaluation, who surprisingly agreed that the whole concept makes a lot of sense. After eight miserable years of stagnating in League of Legends, weighed down by a terrible first coach and crippling social phobia that made any real improvement impossible, stepping into a supposedly harder game with a healthier mental unlocked genuine flexibility. Grinding mostly position 4, I am slowly learning how to make independent calls, practice healthy selfishness regarding farm, and figure out complex creep mechanics that used to give me literal nightmares. Even running into randoms on voice chat is losing its terror—sometimes faking that I do not speak English is all it takes to shrink a dissociative freeze down to five minutes and keep playing the best I can.

The real chaos begins when DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder, directly collides with the gameplay. People frequently ask what it feels like to navigate daily life in multiplayer mode inside one brain, and fast-paced team games showcase that friction perfectly. While our system is fortunate enough to communicate internally and co-front, any serious esports ambitions or ranked grinding had to be thrown out the window out of basic respect for the outside players on our EXO team. Having an alter act as an internal coach giving callouts can be a massive advantage, but high-intensity teamfights often drag someone else forward. When that happens, the screen can literally blur out like a stroke simulation, blurring causes mechanical skills to vanish into thin air, and you are left staring at the respawn timer with severe deja vu and missing chunks of memory.

Yet playing together as an internal ENDO team has an unexpectedly deep therapeutic value that keeps us functional. Fast in-game situations leave zero room for lengthy internal arguments, forcing us to reach rapid compromises, trust whoever is taking the wheel, and keep internal trolling under control. Even better, virtual environments serve as a low-stakes training ground for conscious front switching. Usually, forced front switches leave us physically sick with splitting migraines and crashes, but cycling through control while hyperfocused on a match lets that transition happen almost painlessly. That deep sensory immersion also acts as a powerful grounding anchor against PTSD triggers, putting a hard stop to exhausting rapid switches that would otherwise wreck our nervous system for days.

Underneath it all lies our long-standing, bittersweet dream of streaming on Twitch or recording goofy Let's Plays embracing the full noob experience, which we simply lack the guts to pull off right now. The mere realization that someone is watching us instantly tanks our performance to rock bottom, and the thought of going live still triggers a complete mental freeze long before hitting the broadcast button. Add to that our utterly bizarre domestic setup—juggling three languages at once until basic Polish grammar completely breaks down, while planning to run an ethernet cable out an attic window, across the roof, and down into a basement extension just to get decent internet. Maybe down the road we will build up enough confidence to laugh at our own mess publicly, but for now, Dota remains our private survival workout.

A lot of us love calling ourselves animal lovers, but if that love ends with buying living beings at chain pet stores, it’s time for a harsh reality check. Animals are a someone, not a something—yet the commercial market treats them like cheap inventory with calculated loss margins. A legitimate, ethical breeder constantly updates their standards, prioritizes welfare, rejects reckless inbreeding, runs thorough background checks on potential adopters, and uses binding contracts that safeguard the animal if life falls apart. Meanwhile, backyard breeders and mills operate a diseased hustle where fast cash always trumps health, leaving behind genetic wrecks and bodies exploited straight into the ground.

The deepest pit of this industry lies in animal mills—mass breeding factories churning out stock for retail chains. Rodents, birds, reptiles, and amphibians are packed into barren, cramped tubs with zero enrichment, ripped from their parents way too young, and treated like disposable products. Hand-reared birds grow up with irreversible species identity issues, while wild-caught reptiles flood the market through shady CITES loopholes, only for the vast majority to die within their first year in captivity. The whole setup of a pet store—cages positioned at toddlers' eye levels, warm lighting to hide dull, sick fur, and housing guinea pigs with rabbits carrying deadly parasites—is engineered to trigger your savior complex.

The absolute worst move you can make when spotting a miserable animal behind store glass is pulling out your cash to buy it under the guise of rescue. Paying the register doesn't make you a savior; it clears a slot for the next victim and signals the machine to keep breeding. Basic economics don't care about your feelings: demand drives supply. The only real way to break this wheel is a hard boycott of every shop selling live animals, making noise when neglect happens, and calling out the industry's lies about effortless starter pets.

TX2 music haters actually had a valid point back in the day, but their arguments have aged terribly. Looking at Evan’s earliest material, it was honestly hard not to cringe—flat synthetic beats, unpolished vocals, and tracks that he later scrubbed from streaming platforms because he felt embarrassed by them. But getting stuck on that early era is just straight-up ignorance. Since signing with Hopeless Records and locking down a full, dedicated lineup with Cam, Church, and Corky, this project went through a massive glow-up. It stopped being an awkward solo venture with hired session players and turned into a heavy, dynamic band driven by sharp guitars and raw drum energy.

A ton of backlash around the band comes from people who fundamentally do not understand what vent art is. Songs like Burn, Vendetta, or I Would Hate Me Too were never meant to be pretty radio tracks or flexes about personal flaws; they were raw, unfiltered emotional purges written in the middle of mental breakdowns. On top of that, there is the social media hustle. Instead of grinding in obscurity for decades, Evan leveraged TikTok algorithms, ragebait, and satire to grab attention. Does it look cringe sometimes? Sure. But when that noise is deliberately channeled into shedding light on defunded NGOs that help victims of abuse, like through tracks like The Rain or I Know What You Did, calling it malicious is ridiculous. Activism is not meant to look polished or please everyone, it is meant to cut through apathy.

The tired claims about live vocals and alleged plagiarism spread by self-proclaimed industry experts are just as weak. Alternative shows are not about sounding like a sterile studio master; they are about screaming your lungs out, letting loose, and sharing raw catharsis in a pit. Evan’s vocal progress over the years is undeniably solid, peaking in poetic releases like The Human Disease. Going from a twenty-minute opening slot to headlining major European festival runs within a single year does not happen by accident. This is not about putting musicians on pedestals, because celebrity worship is inherently toxic. It is simply about giving credit where it is due to artists who had the nerve to push through an avalanche of hate and prove their worth on stage.

We have got an announcement from the delightfully unhinged department that you definitely do not want to miss. Love them or hate them, nobody can deny the huge milestone TX2 just hit—they are officially embarking on their first-ever European headliner tour. A milestone like that demands a real celebration, and since standard, boring fan gifts are completely out of the question for us, we had to go all out. We are officially launching the Pigeonification Ritual project, and I am personally inviting everyone in the community to join in and cast this crazy spell with us.

The game plan is simple yet wonderfully chaotic. On February 20, 2027, we are hitting the VIP meet and greet before the Warsaw show to hand the guys a massive, magical poster collage made entirely out of fan art featuring the band members as... pigeons. Why pigeons? Because let us be real—you cannot ascend any higher than becoming a pigeon, and if God had a physical form, it would definitely be strutting on the pavement. The absolute best part is that you do not need to be a professional artist to jump in. This ritual is not about technical perfection; it is powered by pure creativity, imagination, and community love.

Every single medium is welcome: digital art, traditional sketchbook pieces, canvas paintings, photo manipulations, or even photos of clay sculptures. As long as your piece features at least one TX2 band member as a glorious pigeon, you are good to go. Make sure to attach a short, heartfelt message for the band so the spell hits even harder, plus the name or handle you want us to credit on the poster. Head straight over to the official project site at tx2.emo-changeling.xyz to read the full guidelines and check out the pioneer spells already submitted by our first mages. Come through, submit your art, and help me seal TX2's fate with a gift they will never be able to forget!

For a lot of us, growing up glued to a screen was never about being lazy or wasting time, it was a straight-up survival mechanism. When real life gets way too toxic, when you have zero safe connections and your emotions are boiling over, escaping into video games becomes the only shelter you have. Spending fourteen hours straight in The Sims or grinding thirteen-hour LoL marathons kept us away from much worse threats in our actual environment. But that same digital sanctuary can easily turn into an exhausting behavioral trap. Without proper support, chasing dopamine turns into a loop that is brutal to break, especially when society responds with blind stigma and punishment instead of real empathy.

Years poured into Summoners Rift clearly show what happens when corporate choices slowly suffocate freedom and creativity. League used to welcome wild, off-meta experimentation, but it gradually morphed into a breeding ground for pure frustration. Gutting natural communication, refusing to add team voice chat, and handing out automated bans over harmless text comments created an environment driven by miserable loser mentality. Players give up after a single bad play, scapegoat whoever is trying something different, and project their own issues because nobody ever taught them basic gaming psychology or anger management.

Switching over to Dota 2 felt like hitting a massive wall, yet it unexpectedly turned into a mental training ground. Dealing with ADHD, brain fog, and heavy CPTSD baggage made running into voice chat users utterly terrifying—to the point where pure panic literally made my screen turn into an unreadable blur. Instead of quitting, I decided to treat this unforgiving, complex game as a personal workout for neuroplasticity and social exposure. Learning to track multi-threaded chaos, taking accountability for mistakes without spiraling into toxic shame, and gradually facing the fear of interacting with strangers online became a low-stakes bridge to building resilience for real-world social situations.

Video games are neither pure evil nor a miracle cure. It all comes down to mental hygiene, harm reduction, and knowing when you desperately need to step away from the desk and touch grass. Modern schools still fail miserably at teaching emotional regulation or digital addiction, wasting hours on useless tech tasks instead of equipping kids for reality. If you feel like your gaming habits stopped being a healthy escape and turned into a dark cage you cannot handle alone, remember that reaching out for help and going to rehab is never a sign of weakness—it is hands down the bravest, most badass move you can make for your future.

Another brutal summer heatwave, zero sleep, and a fresh plague of armchair psychologists lurking behind blank profiles, convinced they've mapped out your entire psyche from a 15-second teaser clip. This vlog was originally meant to tackle a heavy, complex subject, but stress and a sudden shutdown had other plans. Instead of spiraling into a total crying meltdown, it turned into raw, unfiltered venting about self-proclaimed web geniuses who have never skimmed an actual scientific paper, yet feel fully entitled to lecture you on mental health. Their instant diagnosis? You’re allegedly "self-sabotaging," you "aren't trying," and you just secretly enjoy being miserable.

It’s textbook victim-blaming from people who don't know the first thing about you. You mention living with neurodivergence, battling mental health symptoms, or surviving a brutal past, and the comments immediately twist it into your own fault—claiming you got bullied in school because you refused to obey the social food chain and chose to be cringe but free. None of these anonymous experts witnessed the grueling years of therapy, firing incompetent shrinks, or breaking painful trauma bonds with toxic family environments. They never saw the agony of unlearning the fawn response—that sickening survival reflex where your reptile brain forces you to people-please your abuser on autopilot while your actual consciousness watches in disgust.

Sitting in front of a lens, owning an alternative look, openly talking about mental struggles, and experimenting with crossdressing or wearing a skirt isn’t a sign of being broken. It’s a massive win against years of conditioning and brainwashing. Talking openly about your weak spots strips haters of all their ammunition; you’re handing them a weapon, but the blade is made of f***ing paper. Don't let random online trolls or toxic relatives gaslight you into thinking your progress isn't real or that getting help messed you up. Hit block, ditch the noise, and remember that nobody knows your battles better than you do.

Today we are diving into a topic that will definitely piss a lot of people off. Let's talk about narcissism in pet care. The harsh truth is that a ton of people get pets not to give them a good life, but to have an emotional slave to feed their own main character energy. Keeping social animals isolated just because "I spend a lot of time with them" is completely toxic. You are not a pigeon, a guinea pig, or a parrot, and you will never replace one. Hand-rearing birds just to force them to bond with humans literally ruins their mental health for life.

Before you start throwing mud at me - I have made my fair share of mistakes too. As a kid, I collected fish like Pokemon (one of each kind), kept solitary guinea pigs, and at 16, I wanted to breed snakes in plastic drawers, aka rack systems. But you know what? You have to learn to put your pride in your pocket. When someone tells you that you are doing something wrong, instead of foaming at the mouth and throwing tantrums in terrarium groups, admit you f***ed up and start reading actual scientific papers.

Just because a reptile can survive in a plastic tub doesn't mean it is happy. Surviving is not thriving. Breeders feed you BS just so you buy more animals. Educate yourselves, listen to science, and stop treating living beings like toys that exist just to love you. They don't owe you anything.

Here you can find some sources of knowledge and advice on the topic of animal welfare, based on scientific research (and experiences of people, who actually care)

I am a stereotypical artist who can literally waste a whole day crying over a graphics tablet. Because of my trauma and PTSD, I spent years dodging heavy topics. The internet has become completely sterile and terrifyingly puritanical. Social media platforms force feed you this clean, family-friendly content just to keep advertisers happy. But you know what? Running away from your own demons is a slippery slope. I started drawing things that normies consider "not safe for work" - blood, dark themes, pure vent art.

People accuse me of romanticizing mental health issues, but for me, it is pure catharsis. My art isn't for the masses. I trashed all my old, "Instagram-positive" artwork because it was just fake garbage made for algorithms and clout.

Let's start with a quick flex - I finally launched my own private online gallery. Why? Because modern social media is a sterile, capitalist wasteland. The internet used to be way more free, but now platforms like Webtoon and TikTok are literally shaking in their boots because of advertisers. You post an artwork with a drop of blood or a heavy theme, and boom - you get shadowbanned or labeled as problematic. Algorithms and corporations are killing creativity, and NPCs are just cheering them on and canceling creators over their art, just like the Boyfish case.

Recently, I had this absurd DM drama with someone trying to dictate what I can and cannot draw. They claimed my vent art was fetishizing self-harm and completely lacked logic. Seriously? I struggled with that for years. Instead of hurting myself IRL, I channel that pain onto a digital canvas, drawing all sorts of sick sh*t. If drawing loops or doing coloring books works for someone - awesome. It doesn't work for me.

Art is supposed to purge your worst emotions, not fit into corporate guidelines. Nobody is going to pixelate my artwork or throw ban hammers at me just because I don't fit into a family-friendly algorithm. That's why I'm cutting ties with this censorship circus and doing my own thing on my own terms.

We survived the first heatwave, which on antidepressants that act like stimulants is an absolute nightmare. Our cognitive skills dropped to the level of a literal brick.

The main topic today, though, is our survival report from the Bring Me The Horizon and Knocked Loose concert. BMTH killed it so hard that their new album sounds almost too pop for me now, and "Mantra" played live was absolute fire. But right before they hit the stage, I had the worst panic attack of my entire life. Eighteen thousand people in one place made me want to smash my head against the walls and bolt out of the building. Luckily, the music saved me. I ended up buying Knocked Loose merch because their energy was insane.

The ride back home was classic polish public transit chaos. In a packed tram, someone started singing a christian song and suddenly the whole car joined in. I tried to start "They Will Not Erase Us" by TX2, but somehow nobody caught the vibe. Anyway, this whole post-concert crash is pure biology - depleted serotonin and dopamine give you a comedown similar to MDMA. That is exactly why post-concert depression hits so hard.

Finally, a quick update: I am heading back to Warsaw in February for TX2, this time for two days and with a VIP ticket (Very Important Pigeon). I hope the Hydrozagadka club allows for better crowd interaction. And in my free time, I am planning to go sightseeing in Warsaw's graveyards, because apparently they have some beautiful cemetery art.

Let's start with the fact that I once had the chance to mosh with a bunch of priests in combat boots at some religious event. But onto the important stuff. Bring Me The Horizon is an absolute staple for me (and yes, we are all pretending the "Amo" album was just a glitch in reality and never happened). Unfortunately, modern concert culture is turning into total trash. A while ago, Oli Sykes got hit in the temple with a phone on stage. Seriously, how miserable do you have to be to pull something like that? Because of this kind of behavior, venues drop ridiculous rules on us, like banning corpse paint at metal shows.

Another cringe trend is bragging about skipping opening acts. People proudly post about only showing up for the headliner, skipping awesome opening bands. You are wasting your money and just flexing your musical ignorance. For example, I had mediocre expectations for Taylor Acorn after hearing her studio albums, but live, they absolutely killed it, and the guitarist was going so crazy he almost knocked her off the stage.

Thanks to today's music industry and streaming, our brains are so fried that if a track doesn't hook us in 15 seconds, it goes in the trash. You have to learn how to listen to music. I had the same experience with Noahfinnce - at first, his synthetic vocals didn't click with me, and now he is one of my favorite artists. Do yourselves a favor and give niche creators a chance. And if anyone says I am doing this shoutout just to clout-chase, I will personally come over and permanently glue f*cking spiders to your ceilings. That is a threat.

Today is pure chaos. I'm trying to fix an Amazon skirt (yeah, I buy stuff there sometimes, I'm a poser, go easy on me), while showing off a necklace made of safety pins and literal trash from the studio. Someone gonna tell me DIY is hard and they are too broke for it? BS. While sewing, my ADHD brain goes full squirrel mode - I lose my thread, fight for survival with a needle, and in the background, some idiot left a hair straightener plugged into the basement outlet for two weeks. Major DID moment.

I'm also going on a rant about stuff that's been triggering me online lately. First: treating animals like objects. Why do people have such a hard time with basic respect for other species? Rats have social structures almost identical to humans, and calling yourself a dog's "owner" is just cringe. An animal is your roommate, not a slave.

Second: polyamory. Seriously, are people pretending to be dumber than they actually are, or is it some inside joke? Questions like "why do all you poly people look the same" are pure comedy, and my poly-radar keeps glitching anyway, so it would save me a lot of heartbreaks if that were actually true. Throw in getting brainwashed by Duolingo, which traps you in a dopamine loop and leaves you unable to actually speak the language... and you get the full picture of my mental state today. Did I fix the skirt? Spoiler: I failed. But at least my necklace is awesome. Stay scene, stay weird!

Polish Proto-Emo: How Local Punk Suffered the Same Emotional Crash as the West (Just in Its Own Way). Explore Bieszczady emo, Polish proto-emo bands, and Slavic fatalism.

When you punch "emocore" into a search engine, the machine predictably spits out Washington, D.C., 1985, Rites of Spring, guys crying openly on stage, and the whole mythology surrounding Dischord Records. The sanitized official narrative is neat and tidy: classic hardcore punk grew excessively aggressive and macho, so middle-class American kids decided to drop the BPM, crank up the melody, and start singing about their bleeding feelings, sparking the global emo movement.

What almost nobody notices, however, is that at that exact same historical juncture, thousands of miles to the east, immersed in the gray, suffocating grit of late-communist Poland and the brutal shock-therapy transition that followed, Polish punk underwent a nearly identical lyrical and atmospheric mutation. We birthed our very own "proto-emo" – with zero awareness of the American scene, without imported blueprints, and on vastly different social battlegrounds.

The Pivot: From "The System Crushes Us" to "I Can't Handle Myself"

Classic punk rock (both UK's Sex Pistols strain and American Minor Threat hardcore) faced outward. The targets were explicit: politics, warmongering, police brutality, the state, Reagan, Thatcher. Songs were fiery political manifestos hollered from the stage.

In Poland, the turn of the 1990s brought profound exhaustion with that formula. How many years can you scream about communist oppression, especially when the totalitarian regime collapsed, only to be replaced overnight by predatory, merciless free-market capitalism, sky-high unemployment, and existential dread? Polish bands – tracing the exact arc of the D.C. underground – spun their cameras 180 degrees and aimed them straight at their own psychological wreckage.

Instead of shouting slogan-heavy leaflets, they performed public autopsies on their own minds, pouring out lyrics about alienation, soul-crushing void, dread of intimacy, and a total inability to fit into the world.

Bieszczady Spleen and Poetic Nihilism

The clearest testaments to this parallel evolution are acts that local culture catalogs as traditional rock monuments, yet whose creative DNA was deeply drenched in what Western record geeks would label melodic emotional hardcore.

KSU (Bieszczady Emo): Stranded in the isolated mountain town of Ustrzyki Dolne, they forged a sonic identity impossible to replicate. Siczka (Eugeniusz Olejarczyk) had an uncanny genius for minor-key, heartbreakingly mournful guitar solos. KSU anthems like "Moje Bieszczady", "Za mgłą", and "Pod prąd" weren't political tracts. They were diaries of an outcast, thick with mountain fog, isolation, and retreat from cold reality into the inner self. Their guitars wept years before Midwest emo established its trademarks in the States.

Siekiera (Nowa Aleksandria): Cutting themselves off from ferocious raw punk, Siekiera unleashed the monumental cold-wave masterpiece Nowa Aleksandria. Lyrics steeped in biting frost, pitch-black night, and mechanical paralysis of human connection channeled an existential abyss that harmonized directly with the darkest impulses of emotional revolt.

Armia: Born from the ashes of Siekiera and Kryzys under Tomasz Budzyński's visionary leadership, Armia completely cast aside punk journalism. Musically delivering crushing wall-of-sound energy, lyrically they took flight into mysticism, mythology, and fierce spiritual warfare against internal terror in search of redemption.

Dezerter: Though universally hailed for radical political commentary, they frequently penned songs of breathtaking intimacy, fragility, and psychological breakdown.

The Second Wave (Post Regiment, Włochaty): By the 1990s, all stylistic boundaries had dissolved. Post Regiment weaponized lightning-fast hardcore interwoven with intensely poetic vulnerability. Frontwoman Nika never sounded like a generic loudmouth; her vocal delivery channeled the exact raw desperation, heartbreak, and emotional shattering that Rites of Spring and Embrace unleashed in America.

The Fundamental Rift: The Absence of the Straight Edge Ethos

Despite striking lyrical parallels, Polish proto-emo diverged from its American sibling on one monumental cultural fault line: over here, nobody had ever heard of staying clean from intoxicants.

In the United States, emocore grew organically from the Straight Edge (sXe) hardcore movement. For American youth, rebellion meant radically rejecting alcohol, smoking, and hard drugs. As a result, their stage delivery was razor-sharp, unprocessed, and experienced entirely without chemical anesthesia, pushing neurotic tension and raw desperation into overdrive.

In Poland, the reality was diametrically opposed:

Alcohol as a Pressure-Release Valve: In the grim reality of late communism and dilapidated 1990s housing projects, heavy drinking was woven into everyday survival – the quickest, cheapest escape hatch from hopelessness. When the Straight Edge movement eventually trickled in years later, it was widely ridiculed as an eccentric American luxury or religious sectarianism.

Slavic Fatalism: Our existential agony wasn't born in sterile conditions of sober, clinical introspection. It danced with physical self-destruction, soaked in alcohol and street mud. Songs about void were hammered out amid collapse: "there is no tomorrow, so let's hit the bottom together."

A Different Antagonist: Middle-class American kids sought rebellion in rigid self-discipline because comfort surrounded them. Polish working-class kids were already locked in combat against poverty, a dying state, and zero future prospects; chaining themselves to extra ascetic rules in an already punishing reality seemed entirely absurd.

Conclusion

Polish punk of the '80s and '90s arrived at the exact same emotional destination as Western emocore, simply charting an entirely different journey. We didn't need American definitions or a clean-edge badge to transform punk rock into a public therapy session. While American emocore was built on manic, sober neurosis, in Poland it was soaked in heavy Slavic fatalism – producing an unforgettable strain of vulnerable, deeply moving rock that could break your heart while kicking you in the teeth.

Is this genuinely emo? If your definition of emo starts and ends with straightened scene hair from 2007, then no. If you define emo as emotional hardcore and existential meltdown – then absolutely, to the very bone.

What's up, Wiktor here. Zebroid did a quick logoff, so I'm taking the front. Today we are diving into some pretty heavy but super relatable topics. I'm talking about internalized queerphobia and how much normie culture can totally mess with your head. When you grow up in a toxic environment getting beat down for being different, you subconsciously internalize it. You start splitting people into "good" queers who try to fit into the cis-het norm, and "bad" queers who wear skirts, do makeup, and just don't give a f*ck.

Trying to be "normal" and forcing yourself to pass is literal emotional self-harm. Begging phobes for acceptance is pointless because they will never respect you anyway. Cutting yourself off from your scene/alt roots and locking yourself in a cage just to please others makes you start hating yourself. You throw your personality in the trash, and they still whisper behind your back that you are mentally ill and need electroshocks.

Coming from someone with DID, it gets even crazier. In the innerworld, all feelings are multiplied. Your anger turns into literal fury with lightning strikes and explosions. My internalized phobia made me a terrible b*stard in there, traumatizing the rest of the system. Luckily, Zebroid pulled us out of that mess. It is not worth pretending to be someone you are not. Be weird, experiment with pronouns, and just don't care about their opinions. Huge shout-out to our editor for taking this absolute chaos and making a video out of it.

I honestly can't believe it, but after a whole decade, I'm finally seeing Bring Me The Horizon live again. On June 9th they are hitting Tauron Arena in Krakow, and Knocked Loose is opening for them. It is a brilliant choice because they bring back that heavy early BMTH vibe from the Count Your Blessings and Sempiternal eras. It's the kind of band you travel to see live, so I am hyped beyond words.

Speaking of BMTH, it is time for a little story time from 2016. They were one of our alt-awakening bands. We were in a really dark place back then, totally excluded and terrified of the world. And suddenly, completely out of nowhere, a social worker managed to get us a trip to the Woodstock Festival, literally for half a day, just so we could catch their set. The train ride across Poland with ticketless festival-goers was just the beginning. The place was a total shock - a massive crowd of weirdos, outcasts, and subcultures that usually fight each other, all living in total peace. We saw a parade with a giant spaghetti monster float, bought a white pentagram that normies still confuse with a satanic one, and just felt completely at home.

Musically we started with DragonForce, but the real magic happened during the BMTH set. When we looked back from the stage, the crowd was endless. There were conspiracy theories going around that Oli was lip-syncing because of his damaged vocal cords, but I still had the time of my life. On the way back, I was so sad, convinced I would never get to experience anything like that ever again. But here we are. During the recording of this vlog, a few people from our system co-fronted, so it got a bit chaotic again, but hey, that is just how we roll. See you in the pit!

What is it with me and getting into arguments about lesbians? The whole process of me getting kicked out of the house literally started with one, though no shade to the lesbian community at all. Today we are diving into discrimination within the LGBT scene itself, aka classic friendly fire. It all started with some internet drama involving a girl who stated she would break up with her partner if they came out as non-binary. Even if they had zero plans to medically transition and still presented femme. The reason? Because she is a lesbian and has to protect her label at all costs. Let's call it what it is - that is straight-up discrimination. When I tried to explain my perspective as a polyamorous gay guy who believes marriage is a spiritual pact and queerplatonic relationships are totally valid, I got accused of homophobia and gaslighted.

But the problem goes way deeper. When you grow up in a toxic society and constantly get beat down for being different, you start to internalize that hate. That is how internalized trans-homophobia is born. You start believing there are "good" gays and lesbians who fit into the cis-het norm, and the "bad" ones who wear flags, do makeup, and ruin your reputation. Trying to be the normal one is literal emotional self-harm. It gets to the point where privileged white cis gays promote movements like "drop the T" to exclude transgender people from the scene and treat them like they are mentally ill. They conveniently forget who was at the forefront of the Stonewall riots. You guessed it - it was trans women. Instead of fighting each other, we should be sticking together, because our experiences of being outcasts are exactly the same.

The third and final part of the hikikomori series is a hard dive into metaphysics. What do you do when the real world completely fails to get you, and your OCD keeps trying to convince you that you are the ultimate evil? You escape to a place where human rules don't apply - the astral and the spirit world. As an otherkin who literally experiences their non-human identity, I have a massive problem. Trapped in a human shell, I lose 90 percent of my emotional expression. A Zebroid is a shapeshifter communicating through body stripes, ears, and a tail. Without them, I just stand there frozen, and people assume I am just weird.

Trying to find friends is an absolute disaster. You drop the mask, start talking honestly about experimental magic, and people suddenly vanish. Getting ghosted for being real is the standard. I have been through a ton of psychiatric screenings and no one ever diagnosed me with psychosis, simply because I know exactly how absurd it sounds to normies. My magic isn't some TikTok fairy tale - I have a shamanism mentor, and I rely on actual experience and quantum mechanics, not pop-esoteric internet trash.

I wanted to study religious studies at Jagiellonian University to research this academically, but I failed my high school finals, so that plan is dead. I don't fit in with system communities or therians because most of them don't get my perspective. But honestly? I genuinely don't care. I recorded this because I am done pretending to be someone I am not. If this scares someone off, they are doing me a favor. And if anyone out there relates - high key nice to meet you.

The first person I actually considered a genuine friend turned out to be a straight-up manipulator who just treated me like a toy on the side. It doesn't help when almost everyone who was ever nice to you ends up stabbing you in the back. There's this massive myth online that antisocial people just don't give a f*ck and don't want relationships. BS. We just build huge walls around ourselves because we literally can't handle rejection. Sure, we have our "exceptions" - a few people we drop the mask for. But they are exactly the ones who can hurt us the most. When my exception ghosted me recently, my rage levels went completely out of control.

You ask why I don't just go to therapy? Because the system is a total joke. Most public healthcare shrinks are clueless hacks who will just hand you three new diagnoses, and the waitlists take a decade. The good ones cost way too much. So my therapy literally happens in a world that doesn't exist - inside my inner world, consulting my own head. And honestly? It works. Recently, I finally realized my life will only actually start once I begin my medical transition. That shattered my mental blocks and released years of suppressed emotions.

I realized that for me, time literally stopped a decade ago. As a DID system, I experience life in a series of blinks. When I go on Facebook and see people my age getting married and working corporate jobs, I hit massive derealization. In my head, we're still 14. It's totally normal in systems for some alters to just not age linearly. Time flies, and I just feel exactly like that quote from The Last Unicorn: I can feel this body rotting all around me.

I feel like an alien walking among humans every single time I try to talk to someone. When I look at groups of people hanging out online or IRL, laughing and joking around, I seriously wonder how they pull it off. I tried to record a vlog recently about my socializing struggles and mental breakdown, but the software crashed and it all went to f*cking hell. So we are doing this here.

I totally withdrew from society. I never really had many friends, and my childhood was just being mocked and isolated. After coming out in middle school, things got worse, and in high school, my depression went completely off the charts. I cut everyone off, looking for the smallest excuses to burn bridges. For about five years I didn't leave the house, basically living the hikikomori lifestyle. My social life moved to a dreamworld, inside my D.I.D. system.

Inspired by some weird visions, I started the emo-changeling project to try and get back online. But it turns out my emotional system is completely broken. Instead of normal feelings, I either get a flood of neurotransmitters and feel stimmed up, or I just feel pain. Every interaction is a threat to me. Someone texts me, and I overthink and panic that it is a trap. I ghost people because the mess in my head is just way too big.

I am out of touch to the point that at a disability evaluation board, I had a panic attack just hearing the words group therapy. F*ck, my buddy had to speak for me. The only time I somehow managed was after a Mayday Parade show when a group of people approached me. I didn't have a panic attack only because we were talking in English, and my brain had to focus entirely on that. But I still overthought it later, wondering if my body language showed I was terrified of them. Everyone is a potential enemy to me, and I am just trying to somehow survive this.

Ever felt like life is trying to force you into a script you never signed up for? You know that weird feeling when the line between "figuring it out" and totally hitting rock bottom gets thinner than a swipe of black eyeliner back in 2007?

In this issue's breakdown, we're tapping into the stuff people usually only whisper about - or completely ignore. We're talking identity spirals, having a scenecore rat fursona named Cindy (whose entire existence is basically meant for taking Ls), and those dark middle-of-the-night thoughts where you wonder if institutional care is low-key better than ending up on the street. But hey, no drama-bait here. Just straight-up honest talk about how messy it gets when you try to sort through old family baggage and mental health archives.

Between the heavy real-talk, there's always room for the things that actually keep us grounded - music, show memories, and absolute fan obsession. We're looking back at All Time Low eras, sleepless nights hype-waiting for fresh TX2 drops, and literal pigeon fan art threats to force a Europe tour. Because even when the psych evaluation looks like a chaotic meme and real life feels staged, dropping your guard and making art out of the mess is the only way forward.

Quick Takeaway: No matter how "normal" a home looks from the outside, your rough past doesn't get to dictate where you'll be two years from now. Reaching out, fighting for your space, and keeping your creative vent alive is never a weakness - it's the real power move.

What's it like to carry years of built-up rage and sorrow inside, yet feel completely numb on the surface? It's a glitch where a wave of emotional garbage hits you, but all you actually register are the physical symptoms: throat tightness, muscle spasms, and a sensation like literal fire burning through your guts. You cry, but it feels like you're just watching yourself cry from a distance. Seconds later, a complete flatline hits - zero emotions, and your brain completely wipes the event so you don't feel like a weakling.

My family had massive expectations for me: world-class artist, vet, famous actor. Instead, I'm sitting in front of a camera in a basement, looking like a total mess online. But nobody wants to address the diagnosed DID beneath it all, or the history behind it. Years ago, a doctor gave me a piece of "golden advice": Next time you get a rage attack, don't lunge at anyone - just smash a mug. So one night, fed up with the domestic hell at home, I smashed a mug. The domino effect? I ended up locked in a psych ward that exact same night.

Survival in the ward, getting escorted out of trade school by cops and an ambulance, taking math classes on a psychiatric floor, and playing the "good behavior" game just to get released - none of this was done for sport. It was a raw struggle to stay alive in an environment where a supposedly "safe" home was actually more dangerous than hospital restraints.

This is part one of the story. No cheap drama, no sugarcoating - just an unfiltered log of how fast society and your own roots can write you off. But real talk: you're not alone in the chaos, and fighting for yourself is always worth it before you completely go offline.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, watch out for "golden advice"! 🖤🏥

After some heavy, deeply personal logs, it's time for a quick breather and a vibe reset. Before the second part of our psych ward history drops, we're throwing our very first, completely unhinged piercing jewelry unboxing onto the table. Real talk: the internet has been obsessed with misusing the word "LARP" lately, slapping it onto stuff where it literally means the polar opposite. So today, we're doing a literal Live Action Role Play - pretending we're famous and cool enough for brands to send us free PR, when in reality, the "paid collab" was just us paying them for the hardware.

This unboxing had every possible fail: fighting the camera's focus depth, hunting for a non-existent visual sweet spot, and aggressively opening the package with a razor blade purely for cheap shock value (even though the box could've been ripped open by hand). On the menu: a rainbow titanium setup for the upcoming pride parade, spare septum horseshoes meant for archery safety (since snagging a released bowstring on a 1.6mm nose ring sounds like a horrific involuntary body mod), and the mandatory sticker loot. Highlights include a glittery rat sticker reading "Bite Me," which directly feeds our imaginary band The Half Dozen Rats in the Bucket.

Let's clear something up though: actual LARPing in subcultures isn't about being a clueless poser. A dedicated LARPer playing an emo kid would literally memorize full discographies of early emocore bands just to be 100% prepared for any callouts. As for this unboxing? Zero corporate polish, just raw honesty, past DIY piercing mistakes, and pure ADHD chaos from people who completely lack math and geometry skills.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, leave the piercing needles to the pros! 🖤🐀

Leaving the house is always a battle, but stepping outside in full alt drip, completely solo (well, excluding the rest of the system backchanneling in my head) is a whole different level of stress. The mission was basic: go grab a sick glow-in-the-dark hoodie we snagged on Vinted from the parcel locker. I had All Time Low blasting way too loud, my giant hood hiding the headset, and for about five minutes, I felt like the main character in a music video. Then the whole trip turned into a complete disaster.

First, my phone decided to ditch my hoodie pocket. If three random people hadn't chased me down to give it back, I would've been cooked - though my brain dissociated so fast that the rest of the system dipped, leaving me with a simple "oh f*ck." Right after that, I glitched at a crosswalk for five straight minutes because I straight-up forgot how traffic lights work. At the parcel locker, it got even worse: I was using a friend's code and almost accidentally robbed someone else who happened to open their locker remotely at the exact same second.

To top off the social cringe, on my way back, someone stepped toward me just to compliment my fit. My social anxiety went straight to the moon - I gasped, jumped back, made a terrified face, and almost bolted down the street. The poor guy probably thought I was an absolute a**hole. And the final boss? Reinstalling TikTok after a 3-hour hyperfocused recording session to Escape the Fate, completely wiping 20 music video drafts into the abyss.

A year ago, a cascade of fails like this would've mentally destroyed me. Today, I'm just sitting here like, "well f*ck it, it happened." The first solo trip set the bar embarrassingly high, but hey - at least the hoodie actually glows in the dark.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, watch out for fake hoodie pockets! 🖤📱

Anyone attempting to use the "argument from nature" to validate their transphobia needs to spend exactly ten minutes researching bird behavior. Out of every creature walking this earth, these warm-blooded reptiles are easily the most queer animals in existence. They live entirely on their own terms and couldn't care less about whatever gender the vet printed on their medical chart.

Case in point: male peacocks. Evolutionarily speaking, they got completely wrecked by toxic beauty standards set by the females. Thanks to those massive, completely useless train feathers, they can barely move or fly - a solid lesson on where absurd aesthetic expectations get you. But it gets even crazier with older peahens. When their hormone levels shift later in life, they straight-up grow male plumage, adopt male courtship behaviors, and fully transition socially within the flock.

Ask anyone who's ever owned parrots or pigeons about the classic owner jump-scare. You spend years convinced your bird is a dude, only for "Kevin" to suddenly lay an egg on a random Tuesday. Or you raise "Mariolka" thinking she's a female, until a blood panel confirms he's 100% a male who just decided to take on a completely different flock role because the hierarchy reshuffled.

Birds don't ask for permission, they don't read self-help trash, and they definitely don't care about human boxes. Nature is infinitely weirder and more diverse than normies could ever comprehend.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, respect the trans peacocks! 🖤🦚

"You can't be alt if you make fun of normies" - fr, who even falls for this gatekeeping poser logic? Let's set the record straight: nobody's out here hating on regular people just to look edgy. It's a direct rant against the system that takes potentially bright, expressive humans and compresses them into dull, predictable clones. Most normies are literally just victims of social engineering, peer pressure, and the existential dread of "what will people think." Everyone gets flashes of wanting to break free, but most people suppress them because staying in line feels safer.

If I could force one class into the high school curriculum, it'd be practical sociology with social engineering workshops. Society would be infinitely less cooked if people actually understood how they're being manipulated on a daily basis. But do yourself a favor: stay away from pop psychology. Self-help books and TikTok coaching brainrot will literally just make you dumber. Hit the actual academic databases and research papers if you actually want to deprogram yourself.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes? Absolute system chaos. As the final layer of black paint goes onto the infamous box (now as black as our literal future), the inner Twitch Chat bleeds directly into the front. The result? Hot takes on throwing the entire concept of gender into the trash, callouts on fake feminism, random internal roasting, and sweet, sweet real-time dissociation. Project Box is officially wrapped, but the bottom line stays: you only get one run with this exact set of memories. Stop acting like an NPC.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, stop consuming pop-psychology trash! 🖤📦

If you came here expecting some shy, soft-spoken alter who only fronts to write dark poetry in the corner - yeah, wrong address. Today, Zebroid got officially voted off the main stage because the numbers don't lie: my jokes are objectively funnier. I'm Wiktor, I'm here to set the tone, and I swear to God, if one more person calls me a furry, we're gonna have a serious problem.

My restless mind is literally the sole reason we walked out with an official ADHD diagnosis. Sitting still isn't an option, and this is already my third attempt at recording this rant today. Mix that with some legendary anger issues that literally landed us in a hospital bed, plus my role as the lead guitarist and vocalist in our band - a band that Zebroid totally stole, even though I was the only non-hallucination pushing to get back into making music (even if we still haven't bought new guitar strings).

To top off the cringe: I used to grind League of Legends for 14 hours a day, which is insanely embarrassing considering we're hardstuck Silver. I'm basically the direct cause of Zebroid's existential failure rants. Also, I'm the only real communist here with actual anarcho-collective background. Zebroid is just larping - man secretly wants to be a full-blown dictator in a pseudo-communist country.

Why is the video tilted? Because life is tilted, or whatever. It was supposed to be deep and philosophical, but I've been stuck in this basement for half an hour just spilling words. Half of you won't even get it anyway.

You try to record a simple video essay, adjust your seat, get your thoughts together, and suddenly your own brain starts acting like an unmoderated Twitch chat. Zero mods, endless back-seat drivers, nosy takes, and trolls who absolutely need to drop their opinion right in the middle of your sentence. Sounds like a nightmare for a regular content creator? For us, it's literally just a random Tuesday.

Time to drop the main card: we're a diagnosed DID system. There are six of us in here, and each alter brings their own hardware-heavy energy, which creates some pretty wild neurological spaghetti. Think of it like running six heavy programs simultaneously on a single CPU. Obviously, software glitches happen, tasks overlap, and your short-term memory gets wiped right before you finish a point.

The mainstream media loves to frame plurality as either a creepy Hollywood villain trope or a romanticized fairy tale with mystical superpowers and magically shifting eye colors. Real talk: it's continuous teamwork, learning how not to talk over each other, and trying not to technically choke yourself out when someone from the inner world decides to troll you live on camera.

We aren't here to lecture you with boring medical textbooks or fake corporate empathy. We're dropping the raw, unfiltered experience of a collective sharing one body, showing how despite all the glitchy brain fog, living as a system can actually be turned into an advantage once you build real internal trust. Destigmatizing plurality without the normie filter - that's the whole point.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, don't troll in the comments or I'm dipping into the inner world forever! 🖤⚡

You turn on the basement RGBs, grab a dry brush, take a random wooden box, and try to make sense of a world that's honestly ready for the trash heap. Standard procedure, right? Except the moment black paint starts dripping down your hands (and literal face), a basic DIY setup turns into a low-key existential breakdown about how cooked we all are.

Let's talk about fast fashion monstrosities like Shein and Zara. Everyone knows these giant corps are out here speedrunning new ways to blend cheap nylon and plastic just so your fit disintegrates in two weeks. But does slapping an "alt" label on yourself automatically clear your hands? Yeah, not really.

Here's the hot take nobody wants to hear: secondhand shopping on Vinted can literally just be a placebo to make your moral ego feel cute. Scoring a huge thrift haul to "save the planet"? Cool flex, but are you realizing you're just freeing up closet space for someone who's straight-up addicted to fueling Shein overconsumption?

We live under late-stage capitalism - slave labor and eco-destruction are baked into basically everything we touch. You can't fully escape the grid unless a giant asteroid hits and resets earth. But there's still a massive difference between buying one solid piece every 3 years vs. dropping half your paycheck at fast-fashion racks every single month.

Bottom line: stop gatekeeping being "alt" like it makes you a saint. Being alternative just means thinking and existing outside the brainwashed mainstream - and newsflash, alt people can be total trash human beings too.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, don't eat the paint. 🖤🦖

Taking on advanced alt makeup when you're a total beginner sounds like a speedrun to a complete disaster - and that's exactly what it was. Complete basement chaos, a camera flipped upside down by another alter mid-setup, loose powder aggressively smeared across the table, and brushes vanishing into the void. The final score? Stabbing myself directly in the eyeball with a liquid liner, seeing God for five seconds, and ending up looking like a defective Barbie doll. But honestly? At least I'm actually doing something with my life instead of just sitting back and hating online.

Being a beginner is brutally hard, especially when your feed is constantly flooded with flawless, high-end work from literal pros. It's so easy to compare yourself, panic, and give up. But this disaster is literal proof that every single legendary artist went through the "whatever-the-f*ck-this-is" phase. After spending five years trapped in severe depression, barely leaving the bed, and realizing nobody actually gave a sh*t, deciding to finally express your true self - even if it turns out completely crooked - is a massive win.

Also, a quick reality check for fake clout-chasers: the moment you start dressing alt and upgrading your wardrobe, random people suddenly spawn. Alternative fashion fetishists and clout-sharks who just want a "fancy, rebellious" friend to boost their own social standing. They treat alt people like living props. Watch them run for the hills the second you start talking about who you actually are, being a diagnosed DID system, sociology, magic, or arthropods. Good riddance. We don't need people who view our identity as a decorative accessory.

Makeup was originally invented for men anyway, so if anyone tries to call it a "gender blender," nah - we prefer Gender Chaos. No eyebrow shaving, no fake expertise, just pure trial and error because failures teach you more than fake perfection.

Stay scene, stay weird... and fr, don't poke your eye out with an eyeliner! 🖤👁️

From Aggression to Neon: How Digital Plastic Saved the Punk Soul. Discover the history of punk evolution, emo-core genesis, the MySpace era, scene kids, and modern MySpace Revival.

Modern cyberspace is sterile. Scrolling through Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn feels like being trapped in one endless, suffocating corporate status meeting where every single square millimeter of screen real estate has been optimized and neutered by engagement algorithms. It comes as no surprise that deep within the web, the MySpace Revival movement ignited – a grassroots exodus of people who crave tinkering with raw HTML once again and designing loud, gloriously hideous profiles.

To comprehend why kids (and adults) in 2026 are putting neon skinny jeans back on and plastering pixelated mayhem across their monitors, we have to dial back half a century. This isn't a story about fast-fashion mall trends. It's the history of a genetic mutation of rebellion: one that started in grime, crawled through tears and digital plastic, and emerged as an escape hatch from the corporate order.

1. The Genetic Breakthrough: When Punk Met the Hippies (Late '70s & Early '80s)

It all begins with profound disillusionment. The late 1970s belonged to raw, destructive punk rock. The Sex Pistols, with their seminal anthem "Anarchy in the U.K." (1976) and their nihilistic "No Future" battle cry, made their agenda crystal clear: tear down the system. Yet hurling beer bottles at riot cops quickly ate its own tail, degenerating into mindless macho bloodbaths in the mosh pits.

At that same turn of the decade, the hippie dream was gasping its last breath, burned out by hard drugs and political reality. Punks openly sneered at hippies for their passivity and naive flower power, but subconsciously they hijacked their most crucial core: radical inward introspection, anti-violence, and the hunger for emotional tribe.

The crucible for this mutation was Washington, D.C. in the mid-1980s. The crew rallied around Ian MacKaye's fiercely independent Dischord Records got sick to death of sloganeering about politicians. Bands like Rites of Spring (their self-titled 1985 LP) and Embrace harnessed raw hardcore velocity and turned the crosshairs inward. Emotional Hardcore (dubbed Emo-core) was born. Frontmen openly sobbed on stage, their voices splintered into desperate cracks, and audiences sought communal catharsis rather than broken noses. The concurrent Straight Edge movement kicked out booze and dope, championing vegetarianism and radical human dignity – practically a hippie commune crammed inside the sweat-drenched walls of an urban hardcore basement.

2. The Mainstream Emo Blast & The My Chemical Romance Paradox (2000–2006)

Throughout the 1990s, the flame mutated underground through Midwest emo (Sunny Day Real Estate, American Football), until the dawn of the new millennium when it slammed into the mainstream with the impact of a meteor. The aesthetic evolved: pitch-black clothes, striped sweaters, pyramid studs, and swooping asymmetric fringes.

This is when My Chemical Romance detonated with "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" (2004) and their theatrical opus "The Black Parade" (2006). These records became the sacred visual and sonic gospel for an entire disaffected generation.

Yet right here lay one of the era's biggest paradoxes. While serving as the absolute, undisputed global face of the emo subculture, MCR vehemently and relentlessly rejected the label. Gerard Way went on record in interviews calling emo a "pile of shit" and a lazy marketing bin created by the media to herd anyone wearing eyeliner into a single pen. MCR viewed themselves as torchbearers of theatrical high-concept rock in the vein of Queen, David Bowie, and Misfits-style horror glam. Despite their fierce pushback, the pop-culture juggernaut had already made its verdict.

3. The MySpace Era: Enter Digital Plastic and Scene Kids (2005–2012)

While traditional emo was brooding, melancholic, and deeply introverted, the web bred its screaming, hyper-extroverted sibling: Scene (Scene Kids). It stands as perhaps the very first purely internet-native subculture, forged in the fires of early social platforms – MySpace, Buzznet, and baby-steps YouTube.

Its currency was digital social capital, calculated in raw profile view counters. This birthed the phenomenon of MySpace Celebrities – icons like Jeffree Star, Kiki Kannibal, and Audrey Kitching, who skyrocketed to global fame purely on the back of outrageous, highly stylized internet personas.

                    The visual iconography of Scene:

Massive, hairsprayed, backcombed manes with razor fringes draping over one eye and bleached coon-tail stripes.

Screaming neon palettes (hot pink, electric green, acid blue) clashing against pitch black.

Graphic tees featuring cartoon characters reworked into bloody gore (invaders Gir from Invader Zim and Gloomy Bear reigned supreme).

Skin-tight drainpipe denim, multi-row studded belts, and shutter shades.

The iconic "MySpace pic" – shot from a high overhead angle with an outstretched arm, bleached out by an overbearing flash.

Sonically, pure chaos erupted. Pop-punk found a massive party anthem lane through All Time Low (their 2007 breakthrough "So Wrong, It's Right" and the timeless "Dear Maria, Count Me In"). On the opposite flank, Crunkcore emerged – an unhinged Frankenstein monster fusing club synths, screaming, and heavy 808 beats, spearheaded by Brokencyde and Millionaires.

4. Scenecore Evolution: Synths Invade the Pit (2008–2012)

When scene aesthetics collided head-on with heavy guitar breakdowns, Scenecore was unleashed. Heavy metalcore and post-hardcore were invaded by kids rocking neon t-shirts. Heavy bands started brazenly dropping cheap, 8-bit dance synths right into the middle of filthy breakdowns.

The monument to this madness was Attack Attack! and their legendary video for "Stick Stickly" (2009), immortalizing the infamous "crab walk" stage stance. Riding that same wave were early Bring Me The Horizon ("Suicide Season", 2008), Asking Alexandria ("Stand Up and Scream", 2009), and I See Stars. Old-school metal elitists despised it with a fiery passion, while scenecore bands moved millions in hyper-saturated, eye-searing merchandise.

The wave crested around 2013, exhausted by formulaic studio production and the collapse of MySpace in the shadow of Facebook's sterile real-name regime.

5. 2026 and MySpace Revival: War Against the Algorithmic Machine

The modern resurgence of this aesthetic isn't just cheap vintage recycling. It's propelled by two completely different, yet symbiotic currents.

Vector 1: The Grassroots Flight from Web 2.0/3.0

People are suffocating under algorithmic tyranny. Modern social platforms have morphed into sterile engagement traps obsessed with monetizing attention and pushing boring personal branding. Returning to MySpace aesthetics is a yearning for an internet that was wild, flawed, deeply personal, and unmonitored. Hence the explosion of spaces like SpaceHey (a ground-up MySpace recreation), where people handcraft raw HTML and CSS to claim their digital real estate. It's the reclamation of the right to digital ugliness, glitch, and visual riot against corporate minimalism.

Vector 2: The Nostalgia Commercial Machine

The entertainment industry spotted the goldmine immediately. Original emo/scene kids are now in their 30s and 40s with disposable income, while Gen Z romanticizes the 2000s as a mythic, unfiltered golden age. Massive stadium festivals like When We Were Young sell out within minutes.

Musically, this manifests in a fresh wave of artists, spearheaded by American act TX2 (Evan Thomas). He brazenly blends cutting-edge modern production with an extreme visual aesthetic, punk aggression, and unflinching lyrics tackling mental health crises – continuing the exact lineage established two decades ago. Alongside, an energetic wave of alt-pop and hyperpop freely samples the DNA of old crunkcore.

Conclusion: The Continuity of Rebellion

From Sex Pistols smashing British conformity, through Ian MacKaye pouring his guts out in a D.C. basement, Gerard Way defying easy marketing labels, right down to teenagers hand-coding SpaceHey profiles and blasting TX2 in 2026 – the core mission never changed. Only the tools and color palettes shifted.

Whenever the prevailing system – whether political in the 1970s or algorithmic-corporate in 2026 – becomes too claustrophobic and polished, the human instinct will always be to flee into raw, distorted chaos and claim the right to unvarnished, loud emotion.
